Support for people with ABI

People with acquired brain injury can attend our SFA (Services For All) Clubs, either with their carer/family or independently if able.  We currently run three groups monthly in Nuneaton, Leamington and Coventry.

Please contact us if you are interested to get more information.

As a new group starting up, we are yet to introduce specific programmes for people with acquired brain injury.  We have started by having a part-time Navigator who will be working with a Brain Injury Advisor at CERU to ensure that we can get to meet and work with brain injured people and their families at the earliest stages and we also plan to visit other hospitals. We want to be able to support people once they leave hospital, or later when they feel they need us. People can also contact years later on the journey if they need support.

As we continue to develop, we hope to gain a better idea of the numbers of brain injured people that would want to engage in other services once leaving hospital and those in the community who have not had support.  We will be looking at the possibility of further rehab, day services at a brain injury hub or one-to-one support workers in the community.

We are therefore wanting to gather any referrals of those people who you think are needing support, so that once we have enough people, we can start to set up services.

If you or someone you know would benefit from day care or one-to-one support, please email us with their basic details and we can contact you further to get more information.
